Sometimes when my head’s not straight,

I sit and quietly meditate.

Just focusing on my breathing,

I find that it can be quite relieving.

Breathing in and breathing out,

this is all I try to think about.

Inhale deeply then slowly exhale,

to calm and relax me, it doesn’t fail.

Thoughts arise and my attention drifts,

but back to my breath my focus shifts.

Just five, ten minutes sitting this way,

and I feel ready to carry on with my day.
